It's that time of year again! Hope Beyond Borders is off to Zambia for the 4th consecutive year to work with the Mango Tree Project in Kaombe Village. This year's team consists of 8 people, 7 of whom are all returning for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. We are excited to continue our partnership with the community there with the ongoing Mango Tree Self Help Arts & Education Center that was planted in 2007. We'll continue to work with the staff and volunteers to pursue new areas of development and self-sustainability. This year 3 team members are staying for a full month with the rest of the team joining for 2 weeks. Time will consist of working in the local school, construction project on a group home, building gardens & chicken coops and training local artisans in craft-making. We'll also spend time connecting with other NGO partners we have developed relationship with over the years and assisting them with any needs they have. Thank you for your continued support of this project! TRIP DATES: July 27th - AUGUST 26th. To learn more about the ongoing partnership we have with Kaombe Village please click here. |
